Michael Savage has no intention of abandoning his passion for uncovering the full story behind the deaths of 22 members of Navy SEAL Team 6 in Afghanistan shortly after it was leaked that their unit killed Osama bin Laden.
The subject came up for a second time in the show when a regular listener said she liked the fact that he covered subjects no one else on talk-radio seemed to be talking about.
“They were killed. They were assassinated. They were executed. Or it was done because there’s a moron working inside the Defense Department who did it to them,” Savage said.
“Either way, somebody should go to prison for this.”
Savage called the August 2011 Taliban shootdown of the CH-47D Chinook helicopter that killed all 38 passengers “one of the greatest military scandals in American history.”
“How could we lose more men in one mission than in the entire history of the Navy SEALS, and no one has been held accountable for it?” he asked.
Savage had further questions:
“Who put them in an old slow-flying helicopter in a combat zone?”
“Why didn’t they break them up into fast-strike helicopters?”
“Who made this decision in the Defense Department?
“Who made it in the Obama administration?”
“These are questions, man, and I want them answered, and I want a hearing; and you want to hear equality, you want to hear fairness? How about fairness to the families whose hearts are broken by somebody in the Obama administration who killed those Navy SEALs? Would that be equality?”
Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said last month that the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will hold a hearing early this year to investigate the disaster.
Savage noted on his show Thursday that he dedicated his novel “A Time for War” to the SEALs to try “to awaken America.”
In July, as WND reported, the father of one of the SEALs told Savage in a radio interview he believed the U.S. government sent his son and his colleagues to their deaths.
After Vice President Joe Biden revealed that SEAL Team 6 carried out the operation that killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011, Strange said the members of his son’s team gave startling indications to their families they were about to meet their demise.
Charles Strange, the father of slain SEAL Michael Strange, told Savage that in June 2011, on at least three separate occasions his son grabbed him by the bicep and announced that he had prepared his will.
The bewildered father finally was able to find out what it all meant.
Michael Strange, his father recalled, said: “Something’s going on with the team. Somebody’s leaking things out. Something’s going on.”
Savage, reacting with emotion, asked: “Your son knew he was being sent to his death?”
“They knew,” Strange replied. “They knew something was up. Every one of them.”
Other families of the victims have reported similar experiences with their sons the last time they saw them, Strange said.
Strange said documents related to the crash that he obtained show that, among other anomalies, the rescue team was held back.
“This was all planned,” he said. “I have it in the paperwork.”
Strange affirmed that there was no chase helicopter or any other kind of support for the team.
“So, you’re saying they planned to execute your son and the others on purpose?” Savage asked.
“One hundred percent, sir,” Strange replied.
Investigation
Prompted by the concerns expressed by family members, Chaffetz said his subcommittee on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is investigating the crash.
As WND reported in May, Strange recalled to the National Press Club in Washington his experience with President Obama at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware Aug. 9, 2011, when the remains of 30 U.S. troops were brought home from Afghanistan.
He leaned over to whisper into Obama’s ear to ask if there would be a congressional investigation into the death of his son.
President Obama whispered back, “We will look very, very, very deep into this.”
But Strange said he hadn’t heard a word since that encounter.
The families have filed a lawsuit against Obama, Vice President Biden, the Taliban, the governments of Afghanistan and Iran, because the Islamic regime promises to pay $10,000 for every dead U.S. service member.
Among their many suspicions, the families question the sudden replacement of seven Afghan commandos on board the helicopter just before takeoff. The seven who died in the attack are not the seven listed in the flight manifest. The families say that to this day, they don’t know the identities of the dead Afghans.
Strange noted that the chopper’s black box was never recovered and doubts the explanation that it was washed away in a flash flood.

I was in the AO that night, and for a few weeks afterwards. Never rained while I was there, no chance was there any chance of a flash flood. And never is there a reason to use one and only one helicopter, we were a conventional unit and were able to get the helicopters we needed for our missions. Connie Judd, the question is did you read it and did you read this article? You are correct that Lone Survivor was not about Seal Team Six. Did you know what happened with the team Marcus Luttrell was with? Did you know there was an attempt to rescue this team? I am not going to go over everything. I will leave that for you to read about. But, the helicopter described by the author of this article is the same helicopter that was shot down trying to rescue the team that Marcus Luttrell was with. When the helicopter arrived on scene it became part of the fire fight. It was loaded with Navy Seals and some were from seal team six. It was not long after the Bin Laden mission. The Taliban fighters were simply defending their position. They were not assassinating Seal Team Six for they had no idea who was on the helicopter.
I can understand why you think these were two entirely different situations. It is because the person writing the article made it look that way. She left the rescue mission part of it out because it did not fit her false theory. Furthermore, there was only one helicopter in Afghanistan shot down that had a significant number of seals on it and that is it. It was from the failed rescue mission of the Lone Survivor team.

One thing about military aircraft, especially helicopters is war zones, they all need maintenance. It takes a phenomenal amount of maintenance to keep a bird in the air. The bigger the bird, the more the maintenance. The best flying helicopters are UH-1N's. Twin engine Huey's.

I think what's initially most suspicious is the manner in which they were being transported. Ever hear the saying "don't put all your eggs in one basket"? The amount of money and time devoted by the USG to training each one of those soldiers warrants more careful transport. Basically, don't fly a few dozen of your most elite and effective soldiers over an active war zone in one giant slow helicopter.

Your right Dan. The only "other" variable is the perception of the members in 6 that they had a target on their back. Seems their perception had "some" validity. The human brain connects the dots and brings together complicated situations that sometimes can only become conscious as "gut feeling".
Look no further than the Battle of Mogadishu in '93(AKA Blackhawk Down) for an example of how one slack-jawed yokel with an RPG in the right place at the right time can turn a quick snatch and grab operation by our SPECOPS guy into a mess. Granted I'm oversimplifying, but the principle holds true.
There's more than 22 people in SEAL Team 6. Hell, it hasn't even been known as that for at least 20 years but yeah whatever. Because of how secretive DEVGRU is who knows if it was even the same guys that were on the OBL raid. I imagine they are structured in a pretty similar way to other units like them and have different teams that rotate deployment,training, and alert cycles. I know that no one wants to admit this but these guys aren't invincible and sometimes the bad guys get lucky. If it were a bunch of guys from MARSOC, Delta, Special Forces, Ranger Battalion or anything other than a SEAL Team I doubt it would have even made the news other than a blurb about 22 ISAF Soldiers being killed that day.

The seven who died in the attack are not the seven listed in the flight manifest. The families say that to this day, they don’t know the identities of the dead Afghans.
Strange noted that the chopper’s black box was never recovered and doubts the explanation that it was washed away in a flash flood.
I can see your point, but we are talking about an administration hell bent on destroying America and a inward hatred for our Military. Not to mention the continuous cover ups and lies to protect him and his mission. If we had a more honoarable leadership we would not be asking these questions. But we have a leadership built on lies and coverups, so everything is questionable.
Might want to do a little research before making a sweeping poke there Mike.. I am NOT an Obummer supporter. I think he is a damn waste of skin. I am a 26+ year veteran and know of only one certainty in military operations and that is things change. A plan changes from the moment it is put into operation and it definitely changes at the moment the enemy fires the first round. Are there plans with more risk than others? Yes. Are there times that "Murphy" is riding along with you? Yes. Put on a uniform. Go on patrol. THEN start bitching. Were there too many unknowns that raised the risk of the mission to an unacceptable level? Perhaps. I was not on the ground to make that call. We have commanders that make that call. They are not automatons. THey do not toss their men in harms way haphazardly.
